Why are we seeking your consent ?

We require your consent for certain processing of your personal data, in line with our internal procedures and with applicable data protection laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 ("GDR"). This for the following reasons :

What types of data will you process?

We need to use a range of your personal data in order to comply with our legal requirements and to provide our products and services. Below we set out the types of data for each of the activities we ask your consent for:

Processing of sensitive personal data

We wish to use racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, biometric data for ID purposes, Data for ID verification to carrying out fraud, money laundering, identity, sanctions screening, any other regulatory checks, monitor, record and analyse any communications between you and us, including phone calls to handle enquires and complaints.

Automated processing

For automated decision making, we wish to use Personal Details, Employment Details, Income Data, Financial Details, Credit details, Residential Details. If you apply to us for a product, your request may be processed by an automated decision-making process which may carry out credit and affordability assessment checks to determine whether your request will be accepted. Where these automated processes suggest that your request/application should be rejected, we will manually review your application before making a final decision. We may also use automated processes to decide credit limits.

We may also carry out automated anti-money laundering and sanctions checks. This means that we may automatically decide that you pose a fraud or money laundering risk if the processing reveals your behaviour to be consistent with that of known fraudsters or money launderers, is inconsistent with your previous submissions, or you appear to have deliberately hidden your true identity.

If we, or a fraud prevention agency, determine that you pose a fraud or money laundering risk : (i) we may refuse to provide the services you have requested, or we may stop providing existing services to you; and (ii) a record of any fraud or money laundering risk will be retained by the fraud prevention agencies, and may result in others refusing to provide services or employment to you.

Direct marketing

In order to provide you with marketing communications relating to products or services we think you might be interested in, we and other members of our group may use your information from time to time to inform you by letter, telephone, text (or similar) messages, email or other electronic means.

What happens if you refuse to provide consent?

If you do not provide your consent, we will not use your personal data for the activities listed above & we may be unable to provide you with the services you have requested from us.

Where you refuse to provide consent for us to use your sensitive personal data, we may be unable to provide you with the services you have requested from us.

Where you refuse to provide consent for us to use automated processing to make decisions about your suitability for our products, we may be unable to provide you with the services you have requested from us.

Where you do not want us to use automated processing for profiling purposes, we will not do so. This may affect any risk assessments we make in respect of any products or services you have applied for, and may impact on our ability to suggest the most appropriate Axis product for you and we may be unable to provide you with the services you have requested from us.

Where you do not consent to receiving marketing communications from us, we will not add you to any of our marketing lists and you will not receive any such communications.

What happens if you change your mind about consent?

You are free to withdraw your consent at any time. If you would like to do this, please email us from your registered email to remitmoney@remit.in and we will ensure that we no longer process your personal data in this manner.

Where you receive marketing emails from us, we always include an unsubscribe link to enable you to withdraw your consent. This is the easiest way of withdrawing consent for marketing messages.
